CEPILLERIA CATALANA S.L.

Has been present in the market for Industrial Brushware over 50 years.

From its origins, its production has been directed to textile, food, stone and metal, among others.

Currently, we act as "outsourcing" technology on business and resolve problems surfacing at a competitive cost, ensuring the client can remain competitive in the market.

Our Company applies a continuous improvement process, offering our products with maximum quality and respect, always, a reasonable pricing policy.

Our strategy of "minimizing cost" is based on reduced cost structure and can offer our customers more competitive prices without reducing quality.

Our desire to excel, make us a local company with a portfolio of international clients.

We are able to provide our products and know how to any place on the planet.

Tynex A. Dupont Italia

Seeking to provide its customers with high-quality products for the finishing of natural stone, Cepilleria Catalana, S.L. (Cepicat) of Barcelona, Spain, is adopting DuPont™ Tynex A abrasive filaments for its industrial brushes.

They were selected for their consistent and long-term performance in providing a range of finishes for natural stone. Cepicat recently exhibited its full range of products for the stone processing industry, including those featuring Tynex® A, at the international stone exhibition in Verona, Italy.

Tynex® A abrasive filaments are sold to brush makers for fabrication in many sizes and configurations of industrial brush tools and floor care brushes. Typical applications include deburring and scrubbing printed circuit boards; radiusing and deburring aluminum and steel parts and gears; sanding and finishing wood; and, stripping, scrubbing, and buffing floors

Door Sealing Brush

Multistrip, the individual solution for your problems, made to measure.

Multistrip is a range of brush strip that has been developed to meet the rigorous demands of today, capable of providing sealing solutions wherever required.

A major use of Multistrip is:
Saving thermal energy
Reducing the passage of sound
Protecting against insect and vermin infestation
Sealing against dust, dirt, water and smoke
Cleaning of industrial and commercial conveying systems
Seta Draught excluder

Door and letter box sealings in different sizes and fill materials for domestic use to protect against draught, dirt and dust.

Industrial Abrasive Brushes

Brushing Benefits. The NAF brushing process offers several benefits to the end-user:

During use, sharp new abrasive grains are constantly being replaced as nylon wears against the work surface.

This provides constant brushing action throughout the brush life.

Brushes accommodate various part contours due to their compliance and filament nature.

Compliance accommodates small errors in part positioning and slight variations in part or burr sizes, making them good candidates for robotic and automated workstations. It also prevents damage to value-added components, and hence minimizes/eliminates scrapping of components, unlike rigid tools.

Automation is practical, thereby making deburring and edge-radiusing processes less labor intensive and time consuming. Due to the use of automation, medical conditions such as carpal tunnel and tendinitis can be prevented.

No coolant is required under normal conditions, therefore no waste is produced by the operation, leading to a clean and dry working environment.

Dedicated equipment is not needed because the brushes can be used on standard production machines, robots, and automated workstations.

Operations are possible in a single setup, thereby eliminating the need for additional part handling or refixturing.

No part preparation or post cleaning is required. Generally NAF brushes are a cost-effective replacement for tedious manual methods, non-woven abrasives, mass media finishing, buffs and compounds, abrasive flow/jet machining, air blasting, and thermal and electrochemical deburring methods.

Nylon Diamond

Synthetic diamond can be synthesised using techniques, which emulate the natural geological growth of diamond.

This involves using high pressure/high temperature (HPHT) synthesis process, which converts the soft graphite carbon into the very hard crystalline form of carbon - diamond (crystallisation) or direct conversion using explosives to generate short duration pressure and temperature shock waves.

An alternative method is chemical vapour deposition (CVD). Various industries take advantage of diamonds remarkable physical properties.

Principal mechanical applications are sawing, drilling, grinding, cutting, lapping and polishing.

Surface deburring

Deburring is understood as treating the surface with various methods such as chemical, thermal, electrical and mechanical deburring.

Traditional mechanical deburring processes are hand deburring, smoothing, belt grinding and brushing.
In belt grinding, metal surfaces are machined with continuous grinding belts. The grinding belt is driven by the contact roller and tensioned by the tensioning roller. Depending on abrasive grain (e.g. Al2O3 or SiC) and according to grinding belt grain size, the most diverse of problems are mastered. This includes repair grinding of stainless steel strips, removal of oxide layers on hardened steel strips, improving the flatness and structuring of surfaces.

In brushing, metal surfaces are machined with rotating brushes. According to the edging, e.g. steel wire, nylon, PP or abrasive brushes, the most diverse of problems are mastered. This includes roughening metal surfaces before plating, brushing off loose scale, removal of oxide layers or purposeful structuring of surfaces.

In belt polishing, the metal surface is machined with rotating polishing heads while using a polishing paste.
The polishing heads normally consist of steel wire, natural fibre (e.g. sisal) or cotton. By selecting a
suitable polishing paste and appropriate polishing heads, the most diverse of problems are mastered.

This includes the removal of oxide layers from hardened steel strips, improvement of roughness and generating  highly-polished surfaces.

In mechanical deburring and polishing, just like anywhere else, the result often depends on know-how and selecting the most effective and inexpensive process.

When machining stamped flat parts, it is possible to remove the burr, which can be seen from the outside with simple belt grinders.

As far as removing sharp edges, burrs and polishing the surface at the same time are concerned, brushing alone or in combination with the belt grinding process are offered.

It is primarily used by us in machining processes and equipment.

The applications of deburring and planetary brushing machines are very varied.

They are mainly used for deburring and surface polishing of special parts, piston rings, car parts, stamped parts, synchronising rings and various components made of steel, aluminium, alloys and other materials.

There are also traditional processes for deburring pipe ends, with internal and external chamfering, or
rounding off with a cutting tool or milling cutter etc., and oblique brushing of a rotating pipe is combined
with oblique movement of the pipes.
